A few days back we have seen a Facebook privacy hoax which has been a trending topic in August, now again after two months gap. facebook hoax has again appeared with an advanced note starting with “Deadline tomorrow.”
Do you think facebook has changed its privacy settings?
No, facebook hasn’t changed privacy settings, what you are posting on facebook doesn’t belong to facebook.
These days you might be seeing posts statements like “cliaiming legal status or you’ll lose copyright control of your pictures and other content you share with your friends and family.”
Here’s part of what you’re supposed to post on facebook its still facebook hoax:
“The content of this profile is private and confidential information. The violation of privacy can be punished by law (UCC 1-308- 1 1 308-103 and the Rome Statute). NOTE: Facebook is now a public entity. All members must post a note like this. If you prefer, you can copy and paste this version. If you do not publish a statement at least once it will be tactically allowing the use of your photos, as well as the information contained in the profile status updates. DO NOT SHARE. Copy and paste.”
These lines taken from facebook posts.
Don’t fall into this kind of facebook privacy hoax traps because these statements are still a hoax. If you don’t know what is meant by hoax, Then here it is
The hoax is a word which describes anything that is not real that means all the spam news which tends to create fear. That’s it.
Here is another scene of facebook privacy hoax:
It’s still a hoax,
If you feel that post in your circle then you are not alone it appeared on thousands of accounts from past few days itself.
You can even see thousands of people are currently talking about this
According to the myth-busting site, this copy has been around since November 2012. Facebook has addressed the rumours recently in fact checking blog as the ownership of user’s information or content they post to the site.
“Anyone who uses Facebook can own their controls and content information on their posts, as stated in Facebook terms. They control how that content and information is shared that’s it. That is facebook policy and it always has a been.” This is the facebook statement.
Facebook don’t involve in another sort of privacy barriers. In Facebook statements of rights and responsibilities, the Facebook stated that content published using the public setting allows each and every one to find the information including non-facebook users as well. If you set your content to private, then the rules were pretty different.
Non-facebook users can’t see your posts. A few months back we saw a similar hoax, causing the users frustrated and somewhat fear about their information.
But it isn’t the truth here what was happening is people are not considering it as a hoax and sharing with others that why this hoax is easily going to trending post. So, it’s better not to share or post this false status.
Now, if you share this hoax message, it hurt your reputation – for falling for this sort of hoax attacks. It may seem like it can’t hurt to share them, but posting any of the above statuses doesn’t help protect your privacy in any way.
Facebook trending post: Hackers can now hack your facebook account just by phone number
It’s a best practice to stay away from these Facebook Privacy Hoax, they were various types of hoax’s so make sure you dont fall for anyone. I hope you have a clear view on what not to share. I hoping to see your comments in comment section to start a conversation and share your views on this post.
