So by now you all would have have a chance to play around with the new pages layout on Facebook. Facebook started rolling this update to Facebook pages late July 2016.
Let’s have a look below how the Facebook pages looks now
So Facebook made some changes to the way Facebook pages looks like. Below are the main elements that have been changes or Moved.
1 Logo has moved
To make the top of the page cleaner and clearer Facebook has moved the logo image off the Cover image. So now your logo sits neatly on the left hand side. Below the logo you will see your page’s name and @ designation.
2 Facebook page cover is clearer
So now you have a Facebook cover that has no distracting features that enables you to be more creative. You can now create your page covers with text (don’t worry about the the 20% rule) and be as creative as often as you like (change your cover on a regular basis). Make sure your dimensions are 851 x 315 pixels.
3 Tabs moved to right hand side
Once issue with the tabs in the past has been that you could not see enough of your tabs buttons. You could play around with four of them if you were luck. No you can show most of them and you rearrange them at will.
4 What is now in the right hand column
So on the right hand side you will find your promotional button – Facebook has now more call to action then before.
Call to action buttons include; Sign up, Book now, Call now, Contact Us, Send message, Use app, Play Game, Shop Now, Watch video, Send email, Learn more and Request Appointment.
Below the Call to action button the right hand column includes your page interest category, search box, page activity summery, about info and page tips.
5 Other things on the right hand side
The other things on the right hand side include your page Apps, Photos, Upcoming events, Visitors Posts, People also like, and Like by this page pages (See how to add pages in this box).
6 Buttons are now below the cover photo
The buttons for your page liking and admin will be now below the cover image. Here you can control the basic notifications as well as test out your page as a visitor and do other admin tasks with out going into page settings.
7 Your stats at a glance
Before you get to your time line feed you will get a few stats for the week. Your post reach, website click and sign ups. It will also enable you to quickly make a Facebook ad if you click on Promote Page.
8 Time line feed is the same
Essentially Facebook left the time line feed the same.
