In the meantime, they take Joseph to Egypt. Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officers and the commander of his guards buys him from the Ishmaelites. They had taken him down to Egypt after buying him from their brothers.
God is with Joseph and everything he undertakes succeed. His master makes Joseph stay in his house.
His master sees how God is with Joseph. He also sees that everything he undertakes is successful. Potiphar then makes Joseph his personal attendant. He entrusts with him everything he has. From this moment, Yahweh begins to bless everything the Egyptian owned because of Joseph. God’s blessing extends to everything he owned.
His master notices this and entrusts everything with Joseph. He doesn’t care about anything except the food he had.
Joseph is strong and handsome.
Time flies by. Joseph’s master’s wife casts eyes on him. She wants Joseph to sleep with her. However, he refuses.
He tells that his master has entrusted everything with him except her. She is his wife. And he can’t commit such a great sin.
She speaks to Joseph several times. But Joseph refuses to have anything to do with her.
