Today my mom and I went on a day trip (five minutes up the road) to Dudley Zoo and Castle. The zoo has recently had a renovation and the grounds of the zoo, castle and animal enclosures are looking great! We had a lovely day walking around the zoo looking for all the animals.
My favourite part of the trip was going into the Lemur Enclosure. This let you get up close and personal with the lemurs which was so much fun. At one point I had a lemur going through my bag trying to get the food out of it!
We also had a little go on the chair lift which made the hike to and from the castle a little more quicker and a lot funnier.
Dudley Zoo is also home to Dudley Castle. I personally love the castle because its so pretty and once you are at the top it gives you a lovely view of the rest of the castle and the zoo! However, I don't mind going up but the stairs are so spirally and windy I hate walking back down from the top!
