Eggless Zebra Cake


  • All purpose flour -2 cups
  • Condensed Milk (milkmaid) -3 tblsp
  • Unsalted butter - 125 gms
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Baking Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Baking soda - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla essence - 2 tsp
  • Milk - 250 ml (1/2 cup)
  • Yoghurt - 1 tblsp
  • Cocoa powder - 1 tbsp + 1/4 tsp


Preheat Oven to 375°. Line bottoms of the baking pans with parchment paper.

Mix butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add condensed milk together till smooth.

Add 1 tblsp yoghurt to this.

Add milk and whisk. 

Then add Vanilla extract and mix it well. Keep on side.

To the flour add baking powder and baking soda .

Add the condensed milk mixture to the dry ingredients and make smooth Batter

You can add more water to adjust consitancy.

Make 2 equal part from it. 

Add 1 tablespoons of cocoa powder in one part and mix well.

For Zebra strip effect

Now pour 
2 tblsp of plain batter in the center of the baking pan.

Then pour 2 tblsp of cocoa batter on top of the vanilla batter in the center.

Keep on pouring both the batter alternatively until all the batter is over. 
Final picture of the Cake batter before going into the oven. 

Bake in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven, loosen the sides of the cake with a knife and invert it on a plate. 

Leave it to cool.Then you can cut it and enjoy your Zebra cake!
