Boutique alternative-fuel carmaker Fisker will unveil its first-ever electric SUV just before 2020 CES kicks off in Las Vegas. The 2021 Fisker Ocean is being held under wraps until then, but Fisker did release a single image of the Ocean’s front end.
Before the Fisker Ocean makes its public debut at CES, it will be shown privately to reservation holders at an event in Los Angeles on January 5. Based on earlier reports, the Ocean is expected to deliver over 300 miles of range per charge, and will allegedly cost about $40,000 when it goes into production. That would make it a lot more affordable than Fisker’s seductive EMotion sedan.
That same earlier announcement was accompanied by a sketch of what would become the new Ocean, which we’ve included below. While the latest preview image doesn’t show much more than that sketch, the real-life Ocean does appear to carry over the nose-mounted radar sensor (the horizontal slot-like aperture just beneath the Fisker hood ornament) and gaping, wide-mouth grille. Oh, and this specific Ocean is painted blue. We’ll bring you more information as soon as it is released on Sunday, January 5, when the Fisker Ocean is revealed to would-be owners in L.A.
