There is a lot to love about a Subaru

Subaru and adventure are nearly synonymous, so much so that independent industry analysts such as Kelley Blue Book and Consumer Reports are recognizing and awarding the Subaru Brand. There are reasons behind these distinctions such as engineering and safety - reasons why Subaru drivers love what their vehicles do for them.

The awards for the 2020 model year line up are being released now by various agencies, and Subaru has been picking up quite a few already!

Kelley Blue Book has awarded Subaru with several distinctions. The brand has received the 2020 award for Best Resale Value, which it also received in 2011, 2015, and 2016. Additionally, the 2020 Forester, Outback, Crosstrek, Impreza, and Legacy models all received this same distinction within their respective categories.

The agency didn’t stop there. KBB also awarded the brand the 2020 5-Year Cost to Own award, while also recognizing the Forester independently. This is bestowed upon the brand with predictable and affordable transportation expenses during the life of ownership.

The International Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has also awarded the Subaru Brand and various models with different accolades. For starters, nine Subaru models received either a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ from the organization – tied for most out of any brand. This means that all 2020 Subaru models with Eyesight and Steering Responsive Headlights earned one of these two distinctions.

It doesn’t stop there. All 2020 Subaru models with Eyesight received the highest possible rating for front crash prevention as well. When a Subaru is equipped with Subaru Eyesight Driver Assist technology, it reduces the rate of rear-end crashes with injuries by up to 85%, and reduces the rate of pedestrian injuries by up to 35%*.

Other brands contributed many accolades to the Subaru brand as well. The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) ranks Subaru as #1 in customer satisfaction for two years in a row (2018, 2019). According to J.D. Power, Subaru has the highest automotive brand loyalty among mainstream brands for 2019. To add icing on the cake, IHS Markit shows that the Subaru brand has the best-selling all-wheel drive cars in America for the past 25 years.

If that isn’t enough, Subaru was the first automotive plant in the US to achieve zero-landfill status all while 100% of waste created is recycled or turned into electricity. It’s for these reasons why there is a lot to love about Subaru.
