Tags: summer fall dress

First of all; yes I said Fall as appose to Autumn. I just feel the world 'Fall' is more fitting for obvious reasons. It's absolutely no secret that it is by far my favourite season. I love cardigans, layers, fluffy coats and beanies and not to mention the best scents are available this time of year too- get in!

As I've tried to adapt everything I can to live more ethically, I took a look at my summer wardrobe and, after letting out a great big sigh, I tried to think of ways that I could still incorporate the things that I've been loving into fall outfits to therefore get more use out of them and not end up going on a huge pointless spending spree *yes Lacy circa Autumn'15, I'm talking to you*

I came across a dress that I was sent for the limited Summer days that we did get here in the UK. I soon began fishing around in my draws for things to make it less summery and more cosy (without distracting from the gorgeous pattern- of course). I paired it with a denim jacket that would certainly keep me warmer in the weeks coming up to fall.

C'mon.. how can I be expected to wear a dress like this only once? It's honestly the most comfortable dress I've ever owned and that's why I was so determined to make it transition with me into the Autumn months. With a denim jacket and a pair of tights I'll be all set!

If you're going on a late Summer hols trip to escape the miserable weather we're likely to continue to get here (Envious!) then I'd definitely suggest checking out the other holiday dresses on the JD Williams website here.

UPDATE: You can now get the dress I'm wearing in the sale for only £10 here! Happy shopping.
