Every year, the American television industry is excited for the respected Emmy Award. Emmy, an American Award, is no less than the Academy Award for films and the Grammy Award for music. It is organized for several sectors of the American television industry, but the Primetime and the Daytime receive much attention. This year the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards was celebrated with full of enthusiasm. The event aimed to award those television talents who performed well from 1st June 2017 to 31st May 2018. The Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California was the witness of the grand event.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has won the outstanding comedy show Emmy Awards for 2018. The Amazon comedy Series has received the maximum five awards after beating competitors Atlanta (FX), Barry (HBO) and Black-ish (ABC) among others.

Game of Thrones (HBO), The Americans (FX) and The Crown (Netflix) have won two Emmy Awards in the category of the best drama series. These shows are famous for their twists and turns in the plot.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace – American Crime Story aired on FX, won the Emmy Awards for outstanding limited series.

The most nominated series were Atlanta (eight nominations) for comedy and The Handmaid’s Tale (eight nominations) for drama.

Outstanding Lead Actors and Actress

The list for outstanding lead actors and actress is longer. We are highlighting the best of them. For comedy series, the actor Bill Hader of Barry won the best comedian award and the actress Rachel Brosnahan for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

In the drama series, Matthew Rhys on the Americans has grabbed the best actor award. Claire Foy on The Crown has received the best drama actress.

For limited series or movies, the best actor award has been won by Darren Criss for his marvelous performance in The Assassination of Gianni Versace. Regina King, a lead actress of Seven Seconds, won the best actress for limited series.
