Six ways a handkerchief is useful

Very often, men are left searching their pockets when vehicles blow fumes at their faces or sweat trickles down their brow. And then they realise that they aren’t carrying a Handkerchief. So they end up coughing and sneezing or wiping sweat with their shirtsleeve.

Handkerchief maybe a small piece of cloth but it serves a number of useful purposes in day-to-day life. Men who think it’s just an unnecessary appendage, read on to find out how the humble handkerchief could be helpful to you…

Wiping your face

Whether it’s sweat or water or anything else, when you’re out on the road, you may need to wipe a lot of unwanted things from your face, when you are without a handkerchief, you end up wiping your face with your sleeves which results in a shirt with filthy sleeves. Not the best outfit for office, right? A handkerchief saves you from such situations. And you can always wash a handkerchief and let it dry quickly.

Blowing your nose

Cleaning eyeglasses

It is hard to find men who do not use eyeglasses today. And if you wear glasses– be it prescription glasses, reading, or anti-glare, you must be familiar with the annoying problem of lenses turning cloudy. If you wipe your spectacle lenses with just any cloth, you run the risk of leaving marks and scratches. A soft handkerchief is the best cloth to wipe your glasses with.

Wiping your hands

Drying your hands on your pants or your shirt is something that five-year-olds do. Imagine the impression you’ll be creating if you have nothing to wipe your hands with after washing them.Given that public restrooms don’t always have towels or napkins, carrying a handkerchief with you is the best thing to do.

To tie a wound

Cover your face

Whether you’re riding through a dusty road or on a torrid summer day, a handkerchief can be a great shield to protect your face from the elements. Having one in your pocket makes sure you don’t end up with a blackened face or a dry throat while out on the road.
