Fastest Plane on Earth could even Escape the Rocket!

It’s hard to imagine, that the Fastest Plane of all time was introduced in 1964. NASA had a first test flight in 1966 and Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird was used for reconnaissance and experimental research.

Blackbird had a stealth technology and during the missions more than 4000 rockets were released to hit it. Unfortunately, Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird escaped any rocket only by accelerating and reaching a fantastic speed.

Aviation experts agree that until nowadays Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird is still the Fastest Plane on earth. During its missions he managed to reach the highest speed of 3528.75 km/hour and from summer of 1976 no-one managed to beat this record.

Titan was used for the construction of this plane. As it was hard to find titan in USA, CIA even founded a huge number of fictitious companies to buy it with Soviet Union. What is more, only 32 planes were created and with stealth technologies it could even take photos of riding cards with the number plates making visible without worries.

USA successfully used Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird for almost 25 years and during his last flight plane even managed to beat 4 records. It took only 1 hour 4 minutes and 20 seconds to get from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. and the average speed was about 3 451 kilometers per hour.
