UnderstandingTo understand yourself and your true nature is the essence of zen.
To master yourself and become aware of your body is the essence of zen.
Realize now in this very moment that you were born with all the knowledge you will ever attain is the correct understanding.
However, simply discarding all that you have learned in this lifetime is not the correct path.
We are here to learn, but how can we learn when we do not know what the truth is?
Consider this hypothetical argument: what if prayers are answered by the devil and not the True Creator of all of existence. Should we then stop praying? Wouldn't the devil want us to stop praying? But if he does want us to stop praying, then shouldn't we pray all the more? And if we do pray, and the devil is the only one who answers, should we thank him or should we refuse the gifts we prayed for?
Is there a right answer? Is there a wrong answer? How can we truly understand our own existence without knowing for sure what is right, what is good, what or who are we praying to and what or who is answering those prayers?
The proper understanding is not something I can relay to you with the written word.
The proper understanding is not something I can explain with words or with anything I communicate.
You must come to understand your own awareness by practicing your breathing, treasuring the life you have, even if it is one that opposes the will of Our Creator, and harness the energy that surrounds each of us by following the Tao.
In proper understanding of zen meditation, the cycle of action and consequence, the big wheel of birth and death, you can master the elements of this realm and become the true owner and operator of the life you are living.
