Norlii is a bi-monthly Scandinavian home subscription box that offers a mix between clean-lined Scandi design and softer, more organic items to create a harmonious home.
Each box will feature a collection of full-size decor and lifestyle items that support the Nordic design style. The materials are typically natural (stoneware, wood, wool, linen, seagrass, etc.) and consist of a neutral color scheme (grey, white, charcoal, beige). Boxes will typically have a theme that somehow connects to the current season, but the pieces will also work together throughout the year. Items can include blankets, pillows, ceramics, scented candles, votives, art prints, and more.

A peek inside!
An info booklet revealed the theme of October’s box — “Hygge” — a curated collection of items to help make your home feel more comfortable & cozy. Inspiration for the box was taken from the Swedish tradition of Fredagsmys — which basically means Cozy Friday and is taken part in by simply relaxing and taking things slow.
Normann Copenhagen Heima Candlesticks ($54)
When these popped up as a spoiler for October’s box, I could not WAIT for them to arrive! I’ve been wanting a nice pair of black candlesticks and these couldn’t be more perfect. The design — created especially for cozy atmospheres — features an uneven surface to give it character, coupled with rounded shapes for a more contemporary look. Each piece is made of sturdy cast iron and measures a little under 3 inches tall and a little over 3 inches in diameter. I absolutely LOVE them!
Normann Copenhagen Large Ring Box ($50)
This pretty taupe-colored ring box (also from Normann Copenhagen) is ideal for storing small personal belongings such as jewelry, cosmetic and stationery items. It can also be used to hold dry food like candies, trail mix, or bite-sized cookies. It’s made of glossy, powder-coated steel with a brass plated zinc ring on the lid. The piece is available in 3 different sizes (and colors!), with this being “large” — measuring roughly 6 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches tall.
Broste Copenhagen Candles (price not listed)
Didn’t have candles at the ready for your new candlesticks? No problem! — Norlii made sure to include a pair of rustic Broste Copenhagen taper candles so you can “get your hygge on” ASAP! Each one measures about 8 inches tall and features the color “Linen”. Just look how perfect they look in those gorgeous candlesticks! 😀
Au Maison Linen Cloth ($16)
Add a bit of warmth and texture to your surface of choice with this linen cloth from Au Maison. The cloth — in the shade “Latte” — was produced in Denmark at a small sewing factory in eastern Jutland. It’s made of 100% linen and measures approximately 16 inches by 16 inches squared.
Wally and Whiz Danish Winegum ($11)
When I first saw this small container of sugar-dusted pink cubes, I was intrigued… When I saw the “Vegan” symbol, I was thrilled! 😉 These dainty little candies are made with all natural ingredients and are free from artificial colors/flavors, gluten, and common allergens. They have a chewy texture that’s similar to a gumdrop and are flavored with pink grapefruit and apricot. Yum!!
The October 2022 “Hygge” themed Norlii box was my favorite offering to date! I absolutely love the beautiful pair of Normann Copenhagen Candlesticks, which I’m going to go ahead and declare one of the best items I’ve received in a subscription box in quite awhile. They’re perfect!
