Norlii is a bi-monthly Scandinavian home subscription box that offers a mix between clean-lined Scandi design and softer, more organic items to create a harmonious home.
Each box will feature a collection of full-size decor and lifestyle items that support the Nordic design style. The materials are typically natural (stoneware, wood, wool, linen, seagrass, etc.) and consist of a neutral color scheme (grey, white, charcoal, beige). Boxes will typically have a theme that somehow connects to the current season, but the pieces will also work together throughout the year. Items can include blankets, pillows, ceramics, scented candles, votives, art prints, and more.

An info booklet revealed the theme of June’s box — “Swedish Midsummer” — a festive celebration that takes place in June, and provided details on all of the items found within.
Bitz Salad Bowl ($45 value)
Christian Bitz is a renowned Danish nutrition expert who also designs beautiful tableware like the unique salad bowl above. Made of durable stoneware, the cream-colored bowl features a matte reactive glazed finish to enhance the colors of your favorite meal — be it salad, pasta, rice, or anything in between. It measures approximately 10 inches in diameter by 3 inches high and is dishwasher, microwave, freezer & oven safe.
Sagaform Salad Set ($45 value)
This beautiful salad set from Swedish brand Sagaform is the perfect complement to the Bitz salad bowl. Each piece is made of brushed stainless steel with a small Sagaform logo engraved on the front, and is paired with a long solid oak handle. Their generous size — 12 inches from tip to end — make them ideal for a wide range of bowl sizes and serving possibilities. Due to the nature of the oak handles, hand washing is recommended.
Holmegaard Scala Jar ($17 value)
Holmegaard is a Scandinavian brand that dates back an incredible 200 years! They skillfully create beautiful pieces of glassware including the Scala range of storage jars, which provide air-tight storage so you can store all sorts of dry produce from oats & granola to fruit & nuts. Each jar has a patented closure design as well as decorative grooves that serve as a measuring scale. The jar above can hold 0.2 liters — or a little under 7 ounces — of anything from spices, to nuts, oils, and salt blends.
Zone Denmark Trivet ($10 value)
This slate-colored trivet features a hexagonal shell shape that brings “a bit of the sea” to your dining table. It’s made of heat-resistant silicone that allows it to effectively protect surfaces from hot saucepans and dishes. At its longest point, it measures a little over 6 inches in length. I currently use cork coasters as trivets, so this will definitely be an upgrade. 😉
IB Laursen Flower ($10 value)
Wildflowers are a big part of Swedish Midsummer, as they’re used to create beautiful flower crowns that many Swedes — men and women alike — wear for the occasion. Norlii included a pretty bouquet of purple wildflowers to decorate your table for your own summertime celebration.
I really enjoyed the June “Swedish Midsummer” themed Norlii box! I had first heard of this celebration via the movie “Midsommar” — an indie horror film that had the festivities take a much darker turn — so it was nice to see it portrayed as the joyful celebration that it truly is. 🙂 All of the pieces were of high quality and would make awesome additions to any summer gathering.
