Ipsy is a Beauty subscription that sends subscribers a monthly “Glam Bag” full of cosmetics and beauty accessories for just $12/month.
When you sign up, you take a “beauty quiz” to determine your likes/dislikes, makeup preferences, etc. This helps Ipsy learn which products to send in your Glam Bag. Each bag will contain 4-6 full sized and deluxe sample sized products from top cosmetics brands.

Many different brand/product variations are sent each month, so you’ll see that other subscribers may have gotten totally different products than you did. If all goes well, your beauty quiz answers will match you with products that most meet your needs… But honestly, even if you only like one or two of the products, for $12 shipped it’s still a pretty good deal. (Plus, you’ll always get a cute new bag!)

Everything was shipped in a pink bubble mailer with the Ipsy logo in the center.
A personalized info card listed all of the items I’d find in September’s bag, along with photos, brief descriptions, and retail values for each one.
The bag itself was one of my favorites to date! — I absolutely love anything with fall vibes and this two-tone corduroy beauty just screams autumn. One side features a pretty mustard color, while the other is a deep red/burgundy. The zipper pull could have been a little more fall-ish (how cute would a leaf or acorn-shaped charm have been?!), but I’ll let that slide. 😉

Hempz Herbal Lip Balm (Listed full size value: $8.99)
This full-sized lip balm offers deep hydration, nourishment and conditioning to the driest of lips. It’s enriched with 100% pure hemp seed oil & extract for the ultimate moisturizing experience. It has a nice citrus scent and is both vegan-friendly & gluten-free.
Maëlle Beauty Enchanted Eyeshadow Single in Pink Diamond (Deluxe Sample)
To be honest, I don’t tend to wear too much makeup on a regular basis. However, eyeshadow is one of the few products that I almost always wear on the daily. This pretty eyeshadow single (“Pink Diamond”) is a soft pink shade with just the right amount of shimmer. The brand is new to me, but I appreciate that the product is both paraben- and cruelty-free.
tarte Cosmetics Big Ego Mascara in Black (Deluxe Sample)
I always tell myself I should start experimenting with mascara again, but laziness always prevails. 😉 This ultra-nourishing mascara from tarte promises to coat your lashes in rich black pigment while it gives them dramatic lift, length, and volume. I haven’t reviewed Ipsy in quite a while, so I was excited when they offered to send me their latest offering. Honestly, the bag itself was my favorite item simply because I LOVE its autumn-y vibes. Second runners up were the Hempz lip balm, Maëlle Beauty Eyeshadow, and tarte mascara. With a total listed retail value of over $50, you can’t go wrong! 🙂
