SnackNation January 2018 Subscription Box Review

January 2018 SnackNation review

January 2018 SnackNation review time!

I haven’t reviewed a SnackNation box since 2015 (when they catered mainly to workplace/office environments), so I was excited to see how they’ve changed now that they offer home delivery as well.

The box that I received for review is their “Best in Class” 15-snack option. It includes a collection of premium & artisanal bars, nuts & seeds, jerky, chips, popcorn, crackers, and more. At least 50% of the products in every box rotate month-to-month, so you can expect to receive both favorites and brand new items in every delivery. SnackNation promises that all of the snacks they offer are made with wholesome ingredients and are free from nasty preservatives & questionable ingredients.

Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.

Subscriptions are $24.99/month, or less with multi-month commitments. They also offer a 6-snack box for $9.99/month. Shipping is free for all plans.

Let’s see what’s in my January 2018 SnackNation box!

SnackNation box

Everything was shipped in a black box with the SnackNation logo on the top and sides.

A peek inside!

There wasn’t an info card or other printed material of any kind, so I’ll just jump right to the snacks.

Quinn Touch of Honey Pretzels

These “farm-to-bag” pretzels are gluten-free, yet are still made with real whole grains — including Kansas grown sorghum. They’re also non-GMO, corn free, soy free, and dairy free.

Rōsted Crunchy Lentils

A healthy snack made with crunchy red lentils, olive oil, garlic, and other spices. These are gluten-free, vegan friendly, and packed with a whopping 10 grams of fiber per serving.

RX Bar in Chocolate Sea Salt

A real food protein bar made with 100% natural ingredients. It consists of dates, egg whites, cashews, almonds, cacao, cocoa, natural Chocolate flavor, and sea salt. There’s no added sugar, soy, dairy, or gluten and each bar has an impressive 12 grams of protein.

Wonderful Roasted & Salted Pistachios

California-grown pistachios that have been roasted and flavored with a touch of sea salt. A simple, healthy snack with just 80 calories per serving.

Janis & Melanie Chocolate Chunk Cookie

A classic chocolate chunk cookie made with pure ingredients including unbleached wheat flour, chocolate chips, butter, sugar, and eggs. It’s free of both preservatives as well as trans fats.

Super Yummy’s Coco Yummy

A coconut treat made with real coconut, dulce de leche, and dark chocolate. It’s gluten-free and contains no artificial flavors or colors.

Bobo’s Bites Original

This little bite-sized snack is gluten-free, vegan-friendly, and absolutely delicious. Ingredients include gluten-free organic rolled oats, brown rice syrup, buttery spread (vegan), and organic cane sugar. An ideal mid-afternoon treat to give you a boost of energy.

Made Good Chocolate Chip Granola Bar

This allergy-friendly granola bar is a great treat to pack in my kid’s lunches. It’s school safe, gluten-free, non-GMO, and has the nutritional equivalent of one serving of veggies. Oh — and it tastes great too!

JoJo’s Chocolate Bark

I love chocolate bark and was SO hoping this would be vegan-friendly. Sadly, it is not. (Damn you, casein protein!) Ingredients include dark chocolate, raw almonds, raw pistachios, and dried cranberries.

Halfpops Black Truffle & Sea Salt

Crunchy little nuggets of half-popped popcorn made with non-GMO corn and flavored with black truffle and sea salt seasoning. Sort of like a slightly less crunchy version of a corn nut.

Poppies Coconut Macaroon

A Belgian-made macaroon made with non-GMO & gluten-free ingredients. It’s dipped in smooth dark chocolate and finished with a chocolate drizzle on top.

St Michel Madeleine

A traditional French sponge cake made with whole ingredients including wheat flour, real sugar, and fresh free-range eggs.

Little Secrets Toasted Coconut Dark Chocolate Candies

These candy-coated chocolate candies are like a healthier version of M&Ms. They’re made with 55% fair trade cocoa and contain no artificial ingredients, flavors or colors and no corn syrup.

Sheffa Mint Chocolate Granola Bar

A gluten-free & vegan-friendly granola bar made with non-GMO ingredients including certified gluten free oats, dark chocolate, puffed brown rice, hazelnuts, pea protein, and more. It also contains real peppermint extract for a an all natural mint chocolate flavor.

Balance Cookie Dough Nutrition Bar

A decadent nutrition bar that consists of a cookie dough filling covered in a smooth milk chocolate coating. It’s specially designed to give you the perfect caloric ratio of 40% carbohydrates to 30% protein to 30% dietary fat for energy that lasts.

I enjoyed the nice mix of snacks in January’s SnackNation box. There was something for everyone — pretzels, nutrition bars, cookies, chocolates, granola bars, nuts, and more! Plenty of treats for ALL of your snack cravings. 🙂
