Unhappy comments will be marked with a Dislike button that will not publicly display who commented. The commenter will also not be notified that their comment was marked as nasty.

TikTok recently finished testing a button next to the “Like” button. Called the ‘Dislike’ button, this new feature is different from the original feature. Tiktok first released the test version of this button for several months and rolled it out globally to all users.

The dislike button can be enabled with two facts. Firstly, the fact that unliking a comment would make it private and not visible to the public. Second, the purpose of a disliked comment is to provide Feedback that is inappropriate or irrelevant to a disliked comment.

In addition to preventing cyberattacks and harassment, pressing this button is intended to gradually facilitate access to everyone. You may not yet have access to the button in your app.

A new feature was tested earlier this year to identify comments that people think are inappropriate or irrelevant. Once the test is complete, it will be released to everyone around the world.

By creating a new space for our community to provide direct feedback, we created a feedback system that separates irrelevant or inappropriate feedback. This allows our community to have genuine and authentic interactions in a comment section.

We want our community to have a great experience using this feature. As a result, we don’t show how many dislikes each comment has, and we allow users to delete their comments by tapping again whenever they want.
