Kaze – All you can eat Dimsum Festival

Kaze is located on the 21st floor, the view are stunning from here. You can look at the Bangalore skyline and high rise building from up here. The place occupies the entire floor and have two bars on each side. Based on your preferences you can choose if you want to sit in the open, inside or an air-conditioned space. The ambiance is rustic with high class modern seating. Kaze recently launched the unlimited ‘All you can eat – Dimsum’ festival all through August and is available only on Sunday’s between 12.30 to 4pm. Priced at 799+ per person, it’s a steal.

Kaze has two bars on each side and we tried the Berry Lemonade and the Orange Mojito. Both the drinks were beautiful and refreshing.Kaze - Dimsum festival - Rohit Dassani
We tried almost all the veg dimsum from the special curated menu. The Truffle Edamame is a mixture of Truffle infused with Vietnamese edamame beans. It is delicious with the creamy edamame. Next, we tried the Exotic vegetables which has celery, water chestnuts and snake beans with a hint of Thai chili. Crunchy and refreshing! The Activated Charcoal and Vegetables is a different experience all together. You might feel weird at first, but the taste is surprisingly fantastic. The Sichuan style assorted vegetable is yet another exotic dumpling with inspiration from Sichuan province of China.

The endless dumpling festival is nothing less of a carnival. We tried the Glass Dumplings which is stuffed with Wood ear mushrooms, shitake, button stuffed in a translucent sheet. Goes best with the flavored chives. The Pumpkin and Nuts is another innovation with bird eye chili and chive with mashed Pumpkin. But my personal favorite is the Peaking Jiaozi which is a Poached vegetables dumpling in light soy and rice vinegar with Thai Chilies. It was so good that I had not one, not two but three dumplings! The Sweet Potato Dumpling is the only deep fried mashed sweet potato dumpling. Nothing great but the presentation was nothing less than exotic. Lastly we had the Tofu Steak. It’s made with steamed silken tofu in soya, rice vinegar and garlic spring onions. The tofu is so light that it just melts in the mouth.
Kaze even had a dimsum dessert – the Sesame Chocolate Dumpling.  Made with Rice flour, this crispy choco-filled dumpling is covered with roasted sesame seeds and served with vanilla ice-cream. Don’t enjoy sesame so much, but this was a surprise.
