How to Set Up Apple CarPlay

CarPlay is a new feature that is integrated in latest car models. It helps users unparalleled ease of use. You can set up Carplay to display the directions on a map, make calls and use Siri through a dashboard on the screen. If you have just bought a new car supporting Apple CarPlay and you still don’t know how to connect it with your iPhone, here the steps to set up Apple CarPlay before you can take advantage of its great functionality.

Steps to Set up Apple CarPlay and Pair with your iPhone
To use this great feature, firstly you must have an iPhone 6 or later, which is running an iOS version supporting CarPlay (iOS 9 or higher). Secondly, confirm one again your new car supports the CarPlay feature. Once done, follow these steps below:
Step 1: Connect your iPhone with the help of USB cable or through Bluetooth.
Step 2: Switch on your car.
Step 3: Now, go to Settings -> General -> CarPlay.
Step 4: Now, set up CarPlay through either USB or Bluetooth. Although Bluetooth offers more ease of use, it requires a CarPlay integrated steering.
  • Through Bluetooth: tap ‘Turn on Bluetooth’ icon then press the vehicle’s Siri/CarPlay button to start setting up.
  • Through USB: Just plug in the USB cable and connect your iPhone.
Step 5: After the detection, choose your car from the list and CarPlay will then appear on your in-dash screen.
Step 6: You can check if it works correctly call on Siri by using the Voice Control Button on the steering or using the CarPlay icon on the touch screen.

If you follow all these above steps, you have successfully set up Apple CarPlay on your car. You can now use your touch screen to display as an iPhone. It also sllows utilizing all Siri commands to send messages, play songs or request for directions.
