How to install Android 7.1.1 LineageOS ROM on Sony Xperia Z2

Hello all Sony Xperia Z2 users! You feel bored with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS on your device and you want to experience a completely new Nougat Rom, but you don’t know how to do. Great news is that your smartphone can now taste the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS features with the LineageOS ROM. Here is a step-by-step guide to flash the Nougat LineageOS ROM on your Smartphone.

The Android 7.1.1 Lineage ROM is still in the development and it’s recommended only for the advanced Android users. If you are not an advanced Android user and don’t have any knowledge on Android tweaking, then you must not take your own risk. As this an unofficial ROM, your Sony Smartphone will get small bugs or even bricked due to the update, for which you will have to be responsible yourself.
Before flashing the Custom ROM update, you need to unlock bootloader your Sony Xperia Z2 and then install the latest Custom Recovery (TWRP) on it. Also you need to make a full backup of your data before update and don’t forget to install the Xperia Z2 drivers on your PC to easily connect it to your handset. Make sure to keep at least 50% power battery left to avoid unpleasant issues during the update. Now let’s take a look at flashing Android 7.1.1 LineageOS Rom on your handset.
