November 2017 Uppercase Box Review

Anyone else already itching for the holidays to be over? In part, I am. Don't get me wrong, I love this time of year, but it's just so much chaos that comes along with it. We all get busy, rushed, and eventually flat out exhausted. This stretch of time right now is the calm before the storm so while we have a break here, let's check out the November Uppercase Box!

If you don't know, Uppercase Box is a monthly Book subscription service. Each month, subscribers will receive a newly released, signed YA novel along with a couple bookish goodies. They have to plans available: The Expert plan is $23.00 per month (plus s+h) and the Book Exclusive plan is normally $17.00 per month but is currently on sale for $13.99 (plus s+h). This review is for the Book Exclusive box.

Included is a lovely personal letter from Lisa (the owner of Uppercase) that lists the items included and tells you why she chose this month's book. Also included is the other fantastic thing about this subscription. The bookmark with the codes to the interactive reading experience!

Occasionally with the Book Exclusive plan, you will receive an extra goodie or two that relates to the book selection. The November bag included a lovely little tin filled with mint tea!

Rosemarked by Livia Blackburne --- Another highly anticipated read for me. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

"A healer who cannot be healed . . .

When Zivah falls prey to the deadly rose plague, she knows it’s only a matter of time before she fully succumbs. Now she’s destined to live her last days in isolation, cut off from her people and unable to practice her art—until a threat to her village creates a need that only she can fill.

A soldier shattered by war . . .

Broken by torture at the hands of the Amparan Empire, Dineas thirsts for revenge against his captors. Now escaped and reunited with his tribe, he’ll do anything to free them from Amparan rule—even if it means undertaking a plan that risks not only his life but his very self.

Thrust together on a high-stakes mission to spy on the capital, the two couldn’t be more different: Zivah, deeply committed to her vow of healing, and Dineas, yearning for vengeance. But as they grow closer, they must find common ground to protect those they love. And amidst the constant fear of discovery, the two grapple with a mutual attraction that could break both of their carefully guarded hearts."

As per usual, each book is signed by the author! My favorite part about Uppercase.

Another month with a fantastic book and equally fantastic goodies. Lisa always seems to find the perfect book month after month and that's one reason I love the subscription so much!
