September 2017 ShelfLove Crate Review & Coupon

You know how sometimes you can watch a movie and it's so amazing that you just have to buy the Book it was based on? Yeah, that was me when I watched Age of Adaline a few months ago. I mean, it's one of those movies that has a tone to it that it screams 'book to movie adaptation'. So I google it, ready to find this book, only to learn it is an original screenplay. Not a book, never a book. It seems impossible. Truly a rarity and while I'm sad that I can't read more, it actually makes me Love the movie even more. If you've seen the movie, you'll understand my point here and if you haven't seen it, ho watch it now... well, maybe not right this second, but definitely watch it when we get done talking about the September Shelflove Crate!

If you don't already know, Shelflove Crate is a new monthly book subscription service. The cost is $29.99 (plus s+h) a month and "each box will include a new YA Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel and 4 or more themed-based goodies that will take you on exciting literary adventures." Feel like trying it out for yourself? Use coupon code Welcome10 at checkout and get 10% off your first box!

I love the artwork on this month's theme card. It's such a nice pop of color and makes for a great first glimpse into the box!

The September box theme is Space Explorers and the included information card tells you all the details on each item you'll find in your box.

Pin --- Pretty! This 'I spaceship it' pinnwas designed by Litjoy Crate team member, Katie, who also runs the bookish goodies shop Bookmarked. tattoos.

Bookmark --- Awww! I love Baby Groot so much! This magnetic bookmark is from BeeDooIQ and it is completely adorable.

Putty --- So, I only got this for about .5 seconds before my son snatched it and laid claim on it. Honestly, I'm lucky I even got to take the photo! The swirls of color are absolutely beautiful and it was inspired by the Illuminae Files series.

Sunglasses Pouch --- This gorgeous little glasses pouch was designed exclusively by Miss Phi and was inspired by The 100. I haven't read the books yet but I love the show!

Socks --- There's something so exciting about getting socks in a book subscription. I mean, who doesn't like to keep their feet cute and cozy while curling up with a good book? I know I do! These come from Polish company Many Mornings and I love them!

Nyxia by Scott Reintgen --- Honestly. This is a book I briefly saw on the upcoming releases list I use but it's not one that I really paid attention. However, upon reading the synopsis and seeing this beautiful cover, I'm excited to dive into it! Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

"Emmett Atwater isn’t just leaving Detroit; he’s leaving Earth. Why the Babel Corporation recruited him is a mystery, but the number of zeroes on their contract has him boarding their lightship and hoping to return to Earth with enough money to take care of his family.

Forever.

Before long, Emmett discovers that he is one of ten recruits, all of whom have troubled pasts and are a long way from home. Now each recruit must earn the right to travel down to the planet of Eden—a planet that Babel has kept hidden—where they will mine a substance called Nyxia that has quietly become the most valuable material in the universe.

But Babel’s ship is full of secrets. And Emmett will face the ultimate choice: win the fortune at any cost, or find a way to fight that won’t forever compromise what it means to be human."

You all know how much the signed bookplate means to me! It's always a welcome sight!

Also included is a special letter from the author to Shelflove Crate subscribers.

This may only be my second time trying out Shelflove Crate but I'm already so freaking hooked on this subscription. Excellent books with a cohesive theme and bookish goodies... what's not to love! I'm ready for the October box now!
