August 2017 BookCase.Club Review & Coupon

My cat is having a field day since we started switching out our bedroom furniture. She's lost her mind, running from wall to wall, diving under the dresser, catching sight of her reflection and attacking it. It's an extremely entertaining thing to watch. Even more entertaining? Reading the books tucked inside my August BookCase.Club!

If you aren't familiar, Bookcase.Club  is a monthly subscription box for lovers of literature. The cost is astoundingly affordable at $9.99 per month (plus $5 s+h) and includes two full length novels in the category of your choice: Teenage Dream (YA novels), Blind Date (Paranormal romance), Strange Worlds (sci-fi/fantasy), Thrill Seeker (suspense/thriller), Booking For Love (romance), & the Read To Me case (children's). Need extra incentive to try them out? Use coupon code Cratejoy at checkout for 10% off your first box!

I tend to always gravitate towards the YA box but I've tried several out over the last year or so. This one is still my favorite of them all though.

Included is a bookmark that tells you what books were featured in this month's box.

Rites Of Passage by Joy N. Hensley --- Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

"Sam McKenna’s never turned down a dare. And she's not going to start with the last one her brother gave her before he died.

So Sam joins the first-ever class of girls at the prestigious Denmark Military Academy. She’s expecting push-ups and long runs, rope climbing and mud-crawling. As a military brat, she can handle an obstacle course just as well as the boys. She's even expecting the hostility she gets from some of the cadets who don’t think girls belong there. What she’s not expecting is her fiery attraction to her drill sergeant. But dating is strictly forbidden and Sam won't risk her future, or the dare, on something so petty... no matter how much she wants him.

As Sam struggles to prove herself, she discovers that some of the boys don’t just want her gone—they will stop at nothing to drive her out. When their petty threats turn to brutal hazing, bleeding into every corner of her life, she realizes they are not acting alone. A decades-old secret society is alive and active… and determined to force her out.
At any cost.

Now time's running short. Sam must decide who she can trust... and choosing the wrong person could have deadly consequences. "

Triple Moon by Melissa De La Cruz --- A spinoff of the Witches of East End book series? Yes please! Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

"After they cause a terrible accident at their old high school, twin witches Mardi and Molly Overbrook are sent to live with their “aunt” Ingrid Beauchamp in North Hampton, on Long Island’s mist-shrouded East End. Because the twins cannot control their powers, their father begs Ingrid to tame them over the summer, before the White Council exiles the girls to Limbo.

Trouble continues to bubble and boil when the girls meet the younger Gardiner boys, who are just as handsome and sexy as their older kin. But all is not as it seems. As Ingrid helps the girls learn to control their magical impulses, Mardi and Molly have just this summer to figure out how to grow up, how to love, and how to be a family. "

Another month where I'm very satisfied with the books I've received. I look be the YA box but I think I may switch it up with a different category next time around. Whatever I get, I know it will be great!
