Do any of you have any obsessions? I do, and I'm about 99.9% sure that most of you can guess what it is.... books. I adore reading over just about every other pastime and lately the love for books has expanded to a love of bookish goods. Currently that love is focused on throw pillows and candles. I've got to focus on just the books today though because it's time for the July Uppercase Box!
If you don't know, Uppercase Box is a monthly book subscription service. Each month, subscribers will receive a newly released, signed YA novel along with a couple bookish goodies. They have to plans available: The Expert plan is $23.00 per month (plus s+h) and the Book Exclusive plan is normally $17.00 per month but is currently on sale for $13.99 (plus s+h). This review is for the Book Exclusive box.
Included is the usual Bookmark that lets you access the best part of Uppercase - the exclusive content to amp up your reading experience! It's really such a fantastic perk! There's also a nice note from Uppercase founder, Lisa, that tells you about the book included and why she chose it.
Occasionally, the book only subscription comes with a little extra something inside. This time I received a nice postcard that features a quote from one of the books on my TBR pile, Words In Deep Blue.
Words On Bathroom Walls by Julia Walton --- This cover is gorgeous. I haven't heard a lot about this book but it looks like an interesting read. Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:
"Adam has just been diagnosed with schizophrenia. He sees and hears people who aren’t there: Rebecca, a beautiful girl who understands him; the Mob Boss, who harasses him; and Jason, the naked guy who’s unfailingly polite. It should be easy to separate the real from the not real, but Adam can't.

As always, the book is signed by the author. That's one of the things I enjoy most about Uppercase!
Once again, a great month for Uppercase Box. I love that they often turn me on to books and authors I may never have discovered on my own. They always pick wonderful stories and I couldn't be happier!
