May 2017 Degustabox Review & Coupon

I absolutely hated cooking when I was younger. I was determined that just because I was a girl, didn't mean I had to know how to cook. A ridiculous idea, now that I look back on it. Everyone eats and Ramen noodles get very very old after a while. Thankfully, I ended up being a fairly decent cook (though my family did have to suffer for a bit as I learned!) and I love doing it now. I love to experiment with different tastes and the things I receive in my monthly Degustabox give me plenty of new foods to play with!

Degustabox, who kindly sent me this box for review, is a culinary subscription service. The cost is $19.95 per month (which is awesome) and each box will include a mix of 10-15 surprise goodies. They are based out of Barcelona but have recently launched their box in the USA and I'm so happy they did. Want to try them for yourself? Use coupon code DEGUSTA10T at checkout for $10 off your first box!

I am always so surprised by how full this box is every month. Serious 'bang for your buck', in my opinion!

As always, you'll find detailed information sheet that tells you a bit about each item featured in this month's box.

Mulino Bianco Tomato & Oregano Sfilati --- These crunchy flavorful breadsticks are so good and are the perfect snack or addition to a pasta dinner.

Pure Growth Organic Oatmeal --- Made in the USA with 100% organic ingredients. I received the original flavor but it's also available in Apple Cinnamon and Maple Brown Sugar.

Chicago Vegan Co. Dandies Marshmallows --- These didn't do it for me but my son liked them. They are 100% vegan and made with all natural ingredients, They also contain no gelatin, are non-GMO and kosher.

La Tottilla Factory Tortillas --- I'm a bit spoiled on the tortillas because my mother-in-law makes the best homemade ones in the universe. These are made from a blend of corn and wheat flour and packed with 14g of whole grain.

Goya Lentil & Vegetable Soup --- Definitely not for me, but that's just my personal tastes at work. It's supposed to be very rich and flavorful but I'll have to just take their word for it.

Soy Vay Asian Honey BBQ Sauce --- Oh, I do love a good marinade/sauce. It's a wonderful mix of flavors that gives your food a lovely sweet, smoky taste. We used it on ribs and it was fabulous!

Mutti Finely Chopped Tomatoes --- Obviously, I always prefer fresh tomatoes but I do use the canned ones on occasion. These are really Finely Chopped and combined with the tomato juice to keep their taste fresher than you'd expect in a canned product.

Mulino Bianco Galletti --- Holy crap, these are good! The shortbread cookies are buttery, topped with sugar crystals, and positively melt in your mouth. Yum!

Village Harvest Rice & Beans --- From a line of ethically and globally sourced rice and grains. They are very wholesome and are ready to eat in just 15 minutes.

Barilla Pesto Sauce --- I adore Pesto Sauce. It's a traditional basil pesto with a rich, nutty taste from the grated Italian cheeses used to make it. It didn't blow my mind, but it's a pretty decent Sauce.

Barilla Farfalle Pasta --- Dry Pasta is something I'm always glad to have. This is crafted with high quality semolina and durum wheat flour and is non-GMO.

A box that truly never disappoints me. This was a particularly great month too. I loved almost everything and I especially liked the 'taste of Italy' items that were included!
