One of the best comedians in the Philippine Showbiz industry celebrates his 47th birthday today, December 17, 2016. I'm talking about Kapuso star Michael V.! He turns a year older, and definitely wiser. Today, the actor took to Instagram to give an inspirational message about how he achieved success from humble beginnings. Read his post here:
Taken during my grade school days. I'm sure napa-LOL kayo sa itsura ko! 😂 Back then, hindi ko naisip na magkakatotoo lahat ng mga pangarap ko. Mahirap lang kami pero alam ko, masaya at masuwerte ako. Binigyan ako ng mapagmahal na pamilya, mga kaibigang mapagkakatiwalaan at talentong maaasahan. Wala pala sa itsura ang success. Wala sa impluwensya. Wala sa ibang tao. Ang kapalaran mo e nasa kamay mo. Ipinagkaloob ng Diyos sa 'yo kaya dapat gamitin mo ng tama. 'Yung mga bagay na kailangan mo, 'binibigay Niya sa 'yo. 'Yung mga bagay na hindi mo kailangan, madalas ikaw lang ang may gusto. 47 years old na ako today. May sarili na 'kong mapagmahal na pamilya, nadagdagan na ang mga kaibigang mapagkakatiwalaan at nagamit ko ng tama ang talentong maaasahan. Bata pa lang nangangarap na 'ko. Ngayon, nag-iba na mga pangarap ko pero hindi pa rin ako tumitigil mangarap. Kasi alam kong 'yung mga pangarap ko e ako lang ang nagmamay-ari at hindi maa-agaw ng kahit sino. The comedy genius born Beethoven del Valle Bunagan, known by his stage name Michael V. and also known as "Bitoy", is a Filipino comedian, actor, impersonator, director, composer, singer, rapper, voice artist and parodist. The multi-talented artist appears on one of the longest running comedy shows on Philippine Television, Bubble Gang, and in his own TV show, Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay Na Kwento, both in GMA 7.
He has won the Asian Television Awards for Best Comedy Performance by an Actor in 2004, 2005 and 2006. He joined MariMar as the voice of the eponymous character's pet dog Fulgoso. After his voice-acting in MariMar, he played a supporting role in Codename: Asero. On August 23, 2008, Michael V, after winning Best Comedy Performance Award at the Asian Television Awards for three consecutive years, he was officially informed that he will grace the front cover of Reader's Digest's (RD) 5th Annual Humor Special, September issue. Making him the second Filipino who has ever landed on the covers of Readers Digest after former President Cory Aquino.
He also had a comedy film with longtime friend Ogie Alcasid titled "Ang Spoiled Brat: The Movie" produced by GMA Films & APT Productions, inspired by a segment in the hit gag-show Bubble Gang. Bitoy also hosted a game show on GMA, Hole in the Wall with Ogie Alcasid back in 2009.
Bitoy formerly hosted a comedy-talent show called Bitoy's SHOwwwTIME, which aired from 2009–10 and also hosted Kap's Amazing Stories: Kids Edition. In 2009, Bitoy also won as a Celebrity Inductee to the Eastwood City Walk Of Fame Philippines. Bitoy had his first sitcom entitled "Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay Na Kwento" which is still airing on GMA 7 up to the present and is also currently co-hosting the long running variety noontime show, Eat Bulaga alongside Tito, Vic and Joey.
