I have a confession to make, I am a huge fan of the reboot of the fantasy series Encantadia and of the teen star, Gabbi Garcia, who plays Sang'gre Alena, I actually only ever watch scenes that include her and the hit love team #GabRu though. I've seen the series in the past, so I was definitely impressed with the 2016 version, but still the Alena-Ybarro tandem is the only aspect that really draws me in.


Gabbi Garcia is quite new in the showbiz industry but is already making waves. She won the Outstanding Breakthrough Perfomance By An Actress at the 6th Golden TV Screen Awards held last year for her role in GMA's My Destiny, was nominated for the Best New Female TV Personality at the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Television back in 2014 and recently nabbed the PEP List Awards Year 3's Female Stylish Star Of The Year. She and Ruru Madrid were part of Yes! Magazine's Most Beautiful Stars, with GabRu hailed as Fast-Rising Love Team. Other than seeing her on primetime television five times a week as the keeper of the jewel of water, you can also catch her every Sunday on Sunday PinaSaya.

Gabbi isn't just your typical teen actress, she does modeling too and is part of the Bench family, which is a huge deal in the Philippine scene. She is also a recording artist, yes, she can sing and dance as well, the whole package so to speak. I can't wait to see what the future has for the talented Gabbi who is turning 18 in just a couple of days!

With her much-awaited debut drawing near, Gabbi held a press conference at the La Reve Pool Party Venue to let us in on some details about the event. The title #SincerelyGabbi because the debutant describes it as a night that is minimalist, simple, honest and surrounded by her loved ones is just perfect, don't you think? Her Encantadia cast mates will be there, can't wait to see the official photos haha. She will be wearing three gowns throughout the night, one designed by Martin Bautista and the other two by Mark Bumgarner. It will be on December 6 at the Marriott Hotel.

Yes! Of course, it's Honey Glaze Cakes! You can see from Gabbi's post last November 19, on her Instagram account, that she has already visited their office and cake studio for her cake tasting and design planning. I personally cannot wait to see what the talented Ms. Aileen and team will create for her 18th!
