my favourite albums: top 26

Tags: album song
i am a huge music fan, and all of these albums have made a huge impact on my life. of course these are not all of my favourite albums so i have narrowed it down to 26 of my favourites. these aren't in any particular order as i simply couldn't make up an order because i love all of these albums equally.
my music taste is quite unique as it is very broad however i narrowed it down slightly just so that there was something for everyone.
hope you enjoy.

james blake / overgrown: this album is an amazing album to just put on when you want to chill out, it gives off amazing vibes. my favourite Song on this album is retrograde because it is just so soothing and the vocals sound so good
the libertines / the libertines: this album is just an absolute classic, along with many others on this list. personally, this is the best work by pete doherty because it has such an original sound. i cant really choose a favourite off this album but it is defiantly between 'what katie did', 'cant stand me now' and 'what became of the likely lads'
the drums / portamento: i absolutely love the beachy sound of this album, the best song on this album is quite hard to choose because each is quite individual, and i love basically every song.
the smiths / the best of vol.1: the smiths are defiantly one of my favourite bands, there sound is so classic and morrissey is one of my icons. this album isn't wrong in saying the best of, however they do miss out a couple of songs that should be included. i would recommend vol.2 also just to get the full experience.
bob dylan / blood on the tracks
pixies / doolittle: the pixies created the absolutely best soundtrack for the film fight club, after hearing where is my mind i didnt think that they would be able to make anything that would top that however this album has some amazing songs.
jamie t / panic prevention:
jake bugg / jake bugg:
kanye west / watch the throne:

( i just realised that the smiths has been in two pictures so ignore that)
asap rocky / long live asap: some people may consider this as an odd choice as you wouldn't usually expect me listening to rap music. this album is great because a lot of the songs have an amazing backing track that can be quite chilled out.
arctic monkeys /am: of course this was going to be somewhere on my list because it is amazing. it has been the album of the year, all of the songs work really well together however my only critic, is that it can be quite repetitive. my favourite song on the album is defiantly snap out of it.
yeah yeah yeahs / mosquito
primal scream / more light
gorillaz / demon days
daughter / the wild youth ep - i know this isn't really an album but this was the ep that got me into daughter and has some of her best songs on there
pink floyd / dark side of the moon

foals / total life forever - most people believe that holy fire is one of the best albums by the foals however i feel this album has a few under rated songs that are super cool
radiohead / ok computer
the beatles / abbey road - this seems like the stereotypical album but it is defiantly one of the best albums in history, in the same way that the beatles are one of the best bands. i love this album because it's basically a part of history and every song is great
the stone roses / the very best of the stone roses
the rolling stones / between the buttons
nirvana / nevermind
the cure / the cure
palma violets / 180
cage the elephant / come a little closer - the song shake me down defiantly made this album for me, it is one of my favourite songs of 2013, the whole album has a good vibe

beth, x
