Mother's Day?

To me Mothers' day is not about the numerous forwards and wishing everyone, nor is it about fancy brunches and spa. But, instead this year it’s all about relishing those special memories and spending undivided time with my kids and mom. I can't help but remember all the times when you are in the midst of an important meeting and your mom calls to check if you've eaten or not. She also insists on knowing at the very same time on what you've eaten.

The world may think otherwise but your mom always thinks that you are so thin! Only my mom had the courage to tell my boss my daughter can’t work late, the world is not a safe place anymore.

My Plans For This Year

This year I am spending Mother's Day with my parents and my kids exclusively by just going to a quite park or maybe just being with them at home. I plan to tuck in bed with my mom, to sleep in her lap, maybe look through some old photo albums that she has been insisting I look through for years now. This Mother's Day will not be so much for me but more for both my moms who love me unconditionally and help me achieve my dreams. For me this world would have never been a better place without them. I am lucky that I found a great friend in both my birth mom and my mother-in-law. If you know me and my Mother-in-law then you obviously know the bond we share and how she helps me fulfill each of my dreams by not just standing by but also loving and caring for my kids better than I can.

This year like every year is going to be a day full of fun, food, pamper and digging through the best memories of the years gone by. I want to try and live upto the promise that mom I will call you and share the minutest details of my day everyday with you.
