Instagram is on fire! In addition to their most recent updates, it just announced eerily Snapchat-esque features that have just been added . Looking to spice up your Instagram presence ( photos and videos)? No better time than now.
What’s New on Instagram Stories?
You’ll now be able to add time, weather and various emojis. There’s also seasonally themed stickers like snowmen, Christmas trees, candy canes etc.
To start playing around and creating your custom masterpieces:
- Update your Isntagram app
- Hit the smiley face icon (top right corner)
- Select from various stickers showing temperature, location, time, or play around with the holiday themed ones.
- You can even scale them to the size you want! Want a giant snowman? You got it.
** Pro tip- you can now record a video by tapping anywhere on the screen vs having to press and hold the screen!!

What’s next you ask? We’re betting that we’ll soon see brands popping up in this space with their very own custom stickers. Instagram also seems to be (successfully) trying to squeeze Snapchat out of the playing field, while he latter fights tirelessly to remain relevant.
