Already, three fatalities and more than 75 injuries have been confirmed, NBC News reported. We’re hoping and praying that there aren’t even more injuries or deaths yet to be confirmed.
Update: Later Thursday morning, NBC News revised its report, stating that Governor Chris Christie’s office had confirmed just one death that resulted from the Train Accident. New reports suggest more than 100 people suffered injuries.
The investigation into why the commuter Train collided with the platform, damaging the station so severely that part of the roof collapsed, is ongoing. What’s certain is that those affected by the crash will need help to get through this tragedy.
The injured will need the best care available to get better. The families of the deceased deserve answers and compensation for their losses.
This deadly train accident comes less than a year and a half after the fatal train derailment in Philadelphia. That May 2015 crash claimed seven lives and left hundreds injured.
