Knit-Purl Combinations: Pattern 3 - Herringbone Texture

Only knit  and purl stitches are used to make up this herringbone texture knitting stitch and isn't too tricky for beginners, like myself.

Knitting instructions:
Cast on: multiple of 16 + 1 stitches.
Row 1: (right side): (K2, p2) twice,  k1, p2, k2, p2, *k3, p2, k2, p2, k1, p2, k2, p2; rep from * to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 2: P1, *k2, p2, k2, p3, k2, p2, k2, p1; rep from * to end
Row 3: K1, *p1, k2, p2, k5, p2, k2, p1, k1, ; rep from * to end
Row 4: P3, k2, p2, k1, p1, k1, p2, k2, *p5, k2, p2, k1, p1, k1, p2, k2; rep from * to last 3 stitches, p3
Repeat rows 1 -> 4 until desired length, ending with Row 2. Then Bind off

Abbreviations:
Knit stitch: K
Purl stitch: P
Herringbone Texture: Wrong side
