Thalapathy Vijay’s film sells 1 million tickets in India
The next film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who also helmed Vikram and Kaithi, is much anticipated by fans and moviegoers of Thalapathy Vijay. As per the trade portal, the movie has sold one million tickets in India on its first day of release. As early as 4 am is when the movie’s first day first show in Kerala and Karnataka is scheduled to start.
Expectations for ‘Leo’ to Achieve ₹1,000 Crore Collection
He denied any rumors that the movie would start showing as early as 4 or 7 in the morning. In addition, almost 70,000 tickets have been sold for Leo’s performances in the UK on October 19–22. In the UK, Leo will be available in IMAX and 2D formats. Film industry expert Ramesh Bala stated that a successful release in the Hindi belt is necessary to attain the goal of a lifetime collection of Rs 1,000 crore for Leo, which is something that many fans of Thalapathy Vijay are aiming for.
Many of Thalapathy Vijay’s admirers sincerely thought Leo will bring in 1,000 crores. For that, a strong Hindi release is essential. He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “I hope upcoming Tamil biggies renegotiate their OTT agreements for an eight-week window.” In response to Sumit Kadel, a trade analyst and film critic, Bala stated that Leo has not had any promotion in the Hindi belt and refuted his assertion that the movie will not be shown in any national multiplex chains in north India.
The film, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, centers on a café owner who, through a violent deed that has the potential to completely upend his newly constructed life, becomes a local hero. Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, and Priya Anand play prominent parts in the movie.

On October 19, Leo, along with Shiva Rajkumar’s Ghost in Karnataka and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, will be released in theaters in 2D and IMAX formats. On October 20, the movie will also compete with Ravi Teja’s pan-Indian project Tiger Nageshwara Rao.
