Tyreek Hill Briefly Detained Before Dolphins Game, Expected To Play

Just hours before the Miami Dolphins were set to kick off their Sunday game, star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was briefly detained by law enforcement near Hard Rock Stadium. Despite the dramatic moment, Hill is still expected to play in the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Video footage circulating on social media captured multiple officers confronting Hill near the stadium, where the Dolphins were set to face off at 10 AM PT.

The video shows Hill being placed face down on the ground while officers appeared to be shouting commands at him. The specifics of the incident remain unclear, but it has quickly become a talking point among fans.

In a swift response, the Dolphins released a statement clarifying the situation. According to the team, the incident stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred just a block away from the stadium.

The statement read, "Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident and briefly detained by police. He has since been released." The team further added that Hill and his teammates, who witnessed the event and stopped to offer support, have safely arrived at the stadium and will be available for the game.
