Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi club Al-Nassr, is considered one of the greatest football players of all time, but just as he tasted victories and titles, he also suffered painful defeats in his football career.

The Madeira “rocket” suffered his biggest defeat when he was a player for Manchester United.

Here is a list of Ronaldo's biggest defeats in his career so far:

• Borussia Dortmund 4-1 Real Madrid (April 2013)

Ronaldo managed to score a goal, but Robert Lewandowski had the last laugh by scoring 4 goals on that painful night for Don and his teammates in the Champions League semi-final.

• Watford 4-1 Manchester United (November 2021)

This result was one of the main reasons for the dismissal of Norwegian coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

• Al Hilal 4-1 Al Nassr (August 2024)

After losing the Saudi Super Cup final to his traditional rival Al Hilal, Ronaldo was affected by the loss and burst into tears as if he and his teammates had lost their minds.

• Germany 4-0 Portugal (June 2014)

Portugal failed to make it past the group stage of the 2014 World Cup, suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of the Germans. Ronaldo did not find the net throughout the match.

• Atletico Madrid 4-0 Real Madrid (February 2015)

Ronaldo has scored 25 goals against Atletico Madrid throughout his career, but failed to make an impact when he faced them in February 2015.

• Real Madrid 0-4 Barcelona (November 2015)

Rafael Benitez may have known his days as Real Madrid coach were numbered as they suffered a heavy defeat to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu.

• Brighton 4-0 Manchester United (May 2022)

It was undoubtedly the most humiliating defeat at the American Express Stadium as Brighton dominated the match and beat Ronaldo's teammates 4-0.

• Brentford 4-0 Manchester United (August 2022)

Erik ten Hag's reign got off to the worst possible start, after losing their opening game of the season to Brighton, they were humiliated by Brentford in the second game of the season with a 4-0 win.

• Brazil 6-2 Portugal (November 2008)

Luis Fabiano was the hero as his hat-trick sealed a 6-2 win for Brazil. And since it was an international friendly, it didn't take long for Ronaldo to forget the defeat.
