It’s Tuesday night, you are on the floor in your office/den with poster boards and magazines. You have been flipping through and tearing out the pages that represent you. Welcome to the world of vision boards, my friends. Whether you do it in physical or digitally, this is how we see our dreams come alive. I feel this is an important part of the “blueprint” I often refer to. This is the beginning of the outline. Let’s dig further into this journey shall we?

The life that we want to manifest is right outside of our fingertips currently. There are steps we need to create in order to make this happen. This includes a game plan of sorts. Writing down notes, your 1000 stick-it’s on the calendar in your room, and my personal favorite: journals. All of this is the brainstorming process that helps us with our beginning. Let the progress of dream life commence!

Next we start to do actual research, on subjects which will draw in an Audience or client, that you desire. This isn’t always easy because, let’s be honest, many people are doing something similar. You need to be able to stick out in a sea of 10,000 faces. Are you ready for that challenge or are you going to back down? The efforts you put out there are going to make or break you.

My own personal vision board exist on Pinterest. That’s where all the little pieces of my big picture exist. This blog, yoga and my podcast have an organized place to grow. Plus this is much cleaner than sitting there, cutting up paper lol. If you have a million inspirational quotes floating in your phone, then we are already bffs. We are building the foundation for our dreams together!! Can you feel the excitement, because I do! While word of mouth is important in any new business, advertising is a must. That is a very slippery slope, my friends, either it works or backfires. As someone who has used FB and IG for my business, it has its own plus and drawbacks. The most important thing here is retaining your audience and creating organic engagement. It’s not always about the likes and comments, though that’s nice too. The analytics behind the scene, that end up being your biggest draw. That often means stepping outside of your comfort zone, and tada, being happy and social! I know, I get it, not everyone has that oomph coming out the gate. I was a train wreck, not going to lie haha. All the stuttering and sputtering, has paid off, look at me now.

One of the final things we face as a challenge is growth. That means all the content, the lives and sometimes even radio promotion, you learn to retain your audience. This isn’t the easiest task, I took a period of time off of my podcast to focus strictly on building this. The result was losing a core of my audience, no real footwork was being done to bring them back. I was down to 0 listeners, no downloads and lost. That meant I needed to sit down and figure out what and where I went wrong. The answer which applies to all of life, consistency. By just abandoning what I knew after all the work and re tooling and boom, nothing. I kind of deserved it to be honest. Once I got back into the swing of a routine, I’ve been able to put out multiple episodes with ease and had over 400 additional downloads. That proves my audience was always there, but I wasn’t for them. The takeaway here is: “don’t bite the hand that feeds you”. No more fickle Fanny for me, just progress and growth.

That includes not always just writing about my life and job, but also how this is continuing to expand. There are a lot of layers to Taaury37, that haven’t been tapped into. At the end of the day, my mind is that of a business woman and my company and brand, depend on how I react. Let me leave you with this thought: If you could live any life, besides your own, would you still choose the path you are on?
