Owing to a terrible Ludo addiction, a woman in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, placed herself at risk since she had no money to stake and lost to her landlord. The woman named Renu used to gamble with the money her husband sent from Jaipur, Rajasthan, where he had a job.

The incident took place in the Devkali neighbourhood in Nagar Kotwali. The Ludo game had turned into an addiction for the woman. She and her landlord used to play the game often. The woman put herself at risk when she ran out of money one day when they were both playing the game and putting in wagers.

She explained the entire situation to her husband over the phone. Her husband travelled to Pratapgarh and reported them to the police. Additionally, he shared this incident on social media, and it spread like wildfire.

According to Renu’s husband, he resided in rented accommodation in Devkali. He relocated to Jaipur six months ago for business and continued to give his wife money, which she squandered on gambling. She gambled on herself after running out of money and lost.

The couple has two children. The husband claims that Renu has started living with the landlord after losing the bet and was reluctant to leave him despite his efforts. Subodh Gautam, a police official, stated that they are attempting to contact the landlord and will swing into action as soon as they are able to get in touch with him.

Although the incident may seem weird, it should be recalled that Ludo has previously sparked family strife. In 2020, a woman dragged her father to the family court after he defeated her in the well-known game. The Bhopal resident, 24, had held grudges against her father after he repeatedly outplayed her in games of Ludo.
