Azimio la Umoja deputy presidential candidate Martha Karua on Wednesday issued a statement for the first time, hours after voting in the country closed paving way for tallying.
Taking on social media, Karua noted that the race is not yet over referring to the ongoing vote tallying taking place in parts of the country before the final results are tabulated by the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission (IEBC).

The Deputy President is currently having a strong lead in the Mt. Kenya region as the former Prime Minister dominates in Nyanza, Western Region, Coast, and Eastern Regions.
The results are still provincial as any others expected by IEBC before a final count can be confirmed and revealed to Kenyans.
