New Tifa polls have placed ODM party leader and Azimio presidential candidate Hon. Raila Odinga 8 percent ahead of Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate William Ruto ahead of the August 9th elections.
According to the polls, if the elections were held today then Hon. Raila Odinga will garner 49 percent of the total votes cast with DP William Ruto coming second with 41 percent.
Roots Party presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah comes third with 1.6 percent as Agano presidential candidate David Mwaure garners 0.2 percent of the votes cast. The number of undecided voters stands at 8 percent.

Tifa confirmed that it will be easy for Raila to hit the required 50%+1 votes if the undecided voters declare their candidate of choice.
“With a small but significant proportion of respondents either claiming to still be undecided or declining to reveal their presidential candidate preference, no candidate attains the required 50%+1 for an August 9 victory though Odinga is close at 49 percent,”
“However, with those undisclosed-preference respondents removed, Odinga does achieve this requirement with a clear margin ahead of his rival,” said Tifa
According to Tifa the turnout of the elections now lies in the turnout of voters during the elections as they are the determining factors. Ruto had the lead back in 2020 but he was overtaken in May after the former Prime Minister declared his candidature.
“Whether there will be enough balance in voter turnout across the country for these results to mirror the official results when the votes are counted remains to be seen,” said Tifa
