Nairobi Expressway will be closed from Saturday, 30th July 2022 after the trial period came to an end pending its official commissioning.
Confirming the news was Moja Expressway Company, the experts behind the construction of the 27 kilometer road that stretches all the way from Mlolongo to Westlands.
“The trial period for the Nairobi Expressway, which commenced on 14th May 2022 has come to an end. The road will be closed from 9 pm this Saturday, July 30th, 2022 until it’s officially commissioned.

The commissioning will mark a monumental achievement which has given Nairobi a new face.” Said Moja Expressway Company.
They continued by expressing their sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by the closure after it was welcomed by thousands of motorists.
“Moja Expressway Company Ltd regrets any inconvenience caused and motorists will be advised upon resumption of service on the Expressway,” Said Moja Expressway Company
The trial period was commissioned by President Uhuru Kenyatta back in May, 2022 to allow the experts of the road to identify areas of adjustments before its is fully commissioned.
