A man from Murang’a has been slapped a fine of Ksh 20,000 or serve a jail sentence of three months after he was found guilty of allowing his son to drive his car.
Ayub Kinyanjui Muigai was found guilty of allowing a minor to drive a Prado when he clearly lacks a valid drivers license as he pleaded guilty to the offense.

“Police in Kirwara – Gatanga, Murang’a County have arrested a man whose 7-year old son was captured on video driving a Toyota Prado.
Ayub Kinyanjui was nabbed by detectives and will be arraigned in court this morning to be charged for the offence of permitting a person who is not a holder of a valid driving license to drive a motor vehicle. The Kenyan law does not allow minors to drive vehicles.” Said Thika Town Today.
In the video, the minor was stopped by a man who questioned if he was really a driver. His father who was seated on the other seat confirmed he was good driver as he permitted him to prove it.
