Get Your Pantry Organized Today

I happen to be a sucker for organization and while we don’t have a pantry, we do have various storage space for our pantry items. Today I’m featuring some pantry organization hacks for you as well as a list of pantry recipes that you can whip up even if you’re completely broke and can’t go shopping!

Have you found yourself buying too much of pantry items, or not sure what you have or don’t have? You probably have a disorganized pantry. Spending some time to organize your pantry can be incredibly beneficial in helping you know what you have on hand for shopping or recipe use and just having a better home and kitchen space. Here are some helpful tips for organizing your pantry.

Pantry Organization Hacks

Categorize

If you want to have an efficient way to find things and foods, categorize your pantry items when you’re organizing. Sort similar items like spices, dry foods, canned items, etc. into groups that are in the same place.

Spices

Spice storage and organization can have all kinds of ways to personalize and make best for you. This can mean making your spices organized by use, color, type (herb, spicy, etc), or in different sized containers depending on your space.

Family Friendly

If you have kids, keep them in mind. Make sure things they need or eat are within their reach, and also make sure things you don’t want them to have are out of reach. If you have younger kids, keep your pantry locked or secured to keep them safe.

Baskets

When working with shelving space, baskets can be incredibly useful. They help keep similar items in one place, save space, and give you a visual identifier for items. This is useful for big or small pantries.

Label

A label maker or hand made labels will be your best friend. Whether you label your spices, jars, baskets, or something else; it gives a clear visual to you and other house members of where things are.

Containers

Need to find a clever way to use up drawers or shelves? Containers are the way to go. There are plenty of container options for drawers, cabinets, and shelves that can be useful for smaller items or easy organization to see what you have.

Keep Lists

If you have the time and effort, you should make sure to keep track of what you have and how much you have in a list. This way you can easily keep track of everything and know what you may need more of.

Recipe Saver

Create a space in your pantry to save recipes you or your family loves, so you can easily access them again. It’s a great habit to encourage more home cooking too. This way you don’t have to have electronics open for recipes or hunt down one you used.

Hopefully, these can help you with a way to make life easier in your kitchen and food supplies. Organizing your pantry can be a super productive thing, and it doesn’t have to be hard or take a long time. When you know where everything is and what you have, you can work faster and better with recipes and cooking. Speaking of recipes, I have some recipes that you can make with pantry items below.
