I know there are lots of articles on how to o Free up disk space and some of them ask you to download special softwares for that. But a layman or a non-computer expert and other lazy people like me don’t want to do these additional tasks as they seem difficult and time consuming. Here I am presenting you some easiest ways to free up bulk of disk space without installing additional softwares and without doing ‘difficult engineering stuff’.Trust me it will give you gigs of space back.
1. Disk Cleanup
Go to Search Bar and type “free up disk space by deleting unnecessary files“. Select as shown below
Select all files as they are unnecessary and click cleanup system files. Then click ok.
2. Delete Temp files
Temp files are unnecessary. Open windows explorer by pressing Windows key + E simultaneously.
Type “%temp%” in the search bar and hit enter as shown below. Select all files and delete them permanently by pressing Shift+Delete.
3. Delete stuff in Software Distribution folder
Go to C Drive >Windows folder >SoftwareDistribution folder and Shift+Delete all stuff
4. Disable hibernate
Go to search bar > type command prompt > Right click command prompt and select ‘Run as administrator’.
Type “powercfg -h off” and hit enter
5. Empty Recycle Bin
Right click recycle bin and select empty recycle bin.
