Summer Skin Care Tips for Glowing Clear Skin

Beside vacation, summer means you need to step up your Skin care game. The intense sunshine, dustier outdoor and the urge to lower the AC temperature to cope with the heat, lead to too dry or too oily skin, break outs and eventually speed the aging process of your skin.

No worries! These summer skin care tips will help you welcome summer with smooth, hydrated, and Glowing Clear Skin for years to come!

Cleanse

While this may sound old but in “Skin Care 101” cleansing is the most essential step in your skin care routine. After going outdoor and enjoying the sunshine it’s crucial that you cleanse your skin to remove sweat, oil, and dirt.

I recommend using a non-exfoliating cleanser for daily wash and exfoliate your skin for once a week, depends on your skin but go gentle. Remember, too much exfoliating can lead to excess oil production. And who wants an oily sheen?! Try Organic face wash with Aloe by Everyone Face Wash.

Exfoliate

Often underestimated in skin care routines, exfoliation is what really takes your skin a step above! If you’ve been fighting with moisturizers and cleansers with constant dry to oil results than you’ve probably been missing exfoliation.

Exfoliating is really your prep work to prime your skin for moisturizing. It does not only shed dull, dead skin cells but allows your skin to absorb the nutrients in your moisturizer more readily. And it’s known to speed up the production of collagen resulting in a more youthful appearance.

Cleanse, exfoliate, tighten, and replenish skin with some of my favorite natural remedies here !

Moisturize

Time spent outdoors in the sun can lead to dry skin! Moisturizing is an essential step not just in summer time but also daily routine. Like your body, your skin needs to quench its thirst during summer! And need I mention, keeping your skin hydrated helps prevent advance aging aka wrinkles?!?

For intense moisturizing, slather on Shea Butter Ultra Rich. I recommend it for dry elbows and knees or any other area in the summer (and all year round).

Protect

The sun and pollution can do SO much damage to the appearance of your skin, to name a few, wrinkles, sun spots or even a serious concern – skin cancer.

I sure spent a lot of time in the sun as a child and teen, until now because my husband loves outdoor activities. So, make applying sunscreen a priority for you and your family. If you or your little one spends a lot of time in the pool, you’ll need a sunscreen that stays on in the water. Make sure that it contains 20% zinc oxide (the good kind of zinc) and waterproof!

Hydrate

Considering we are made up of over 50% water, staying hydrated during this hot time of the year is a vital for your skin! Drink water, a lot of it like eight glasses of water or more per day. I always have a 1 liter mug of water next to me wherever I go. If you happen struggle to keep a habit of drinking a lot of water, try adding lemon, strawberries, mint or all three to your water for more taste. If that doesn’t do it for you, consume foods with high water content like cucumber, watermelon, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, or grapefruit to name a few.

Stay Cool

It’s important to keep an eye on your body’s water levels both inside and out. When the temperature heats up to cool down quickly use a Hydrabio Soothing Water. It soothes your dehydrated skin and ideal for sensitive skin. And it will leave you feeling refreshed all the while keeping your skin hydrated.

Enjoy your summer with glowing clear skin!
