SECOND WAVE…

It’s coming they say,

about to crash ashore.

A second deadly wave,

heading down our way.

Some are frightened,

others couldn’t care less.

We’ve all been here before,

and know it doesn’t end well.

~

Soon we’ll see for certain,

if lessons have been learned.

Mistakes that caused harm,

are not repeated again.

~

We need to see leadership,

not fools asleep at the wheel.

People will take notice,

but trust such a fragile thing.

~

Short term pain inevitable,

how much within our gift.

A brighter tomorrow is possible,

through decisions we take today.
