A poem to mark World Suicide Prevention Day and a message that’s we all need to play our part in this everyday. Sometimes it’s not so obvious when help is needed, even if it’s ourselves that require it.

NOT SUICIDAL…

I’m not suicidal,

but want to disappear.

To remove all trace,

that I was ever even here.

I’m not suicidal,

not considered a risk.

It doesn’t mean I’m fine,

that I’m not feeling unwell.

I’m not suicidal,

today at any rate.

Perhaps I never will be,

or it’s an inescapable fate.

~

I’m not suicidal,

maybe others said that,

said they wouldn’t do it,

until the day came they did.
