MY Boring LIFE…

I went outside yesterday,

then I came inside again.

Not much happened,

nothing ever does.

I remember thinking,

well this is a bit dull.

So I went to bed,

for a change of scene.

Looked up at the ceiling,

which is painted beige.

I smiled at the irony,

the colour matching life.

~

Sleep soon arrived,

but the dreams stayed away.

Tomorrow will be better,

more variety to the day.

~

I need to put the bins out,

then bring them in again.

I’ll probably do that twice,

just to kill some time.

~

Electricity meter needs reading,

I have to wash my socks.

Next door have invited me over,

need an excuse not to go.

~

My life is a bit boring,

I’m the first to admit that.

But excitement is overrated,

brings me out in a nasty rash.
