How Ranjhana became a merchant
Her parents set the Shop up when Juhu was just a village of tall grasslands near the sea. She pretty much grew up in the shop. She’s been running it since her parents passed on. Her husband helps her out at the shop.
Ranjhana’s life
Ranjhana's kids are both settled abroad, one in the US and the other in Abu Dhabi. She visits them every year. Her sister is a dentist and her brother is an engineer, also in Abu Dhabi.
There are no property disputes between the siblings. She has shop property papers and files her IT returns every year.
“I am happy with what I earn. I don’t really need any more.”
Ranjhana’s day
She works 7 days a week, 8 am to 8 pm.
She has 8 suppliers giving her vegetables every morning. She knows how much she can sell, takes just enough. She pays all the suppliers at the end of each day.
“I don’t want credit. I don’t need Swiggy or Zomato."
