Basically, tech is the air you breath. And I'm not exaggerating. And if your phone is not in your hand for a full 2-minute, you develop this annoying urge to pick it up. Why? Cause tech is a part of your life. Perhaps, even on the same level as food and water.

1. Constant flow of information.
Yup, without even your acknowledgement you are constantly learning new things. However, I must mention that learning is not necessarily an obligation. If you look it up, even reading the latest article from your favourite blog is considered a form of learning. Oh yeah, and learning is not limited to acquiring facts and scientific discoveries, it may as well be informing yourself of new and strange ways people view certain topics.
2. Way to stay up to date.
Here we talk about the basics. Thanks to technology we can keep in touch with the rest of the world. In case of emergencies, such as the recent Thai cave rescue that took place in July, a lot of volunteers gathered and helped in rescuing the 12 boys and their coach. Technology keeps us united. Funny or not, tech manages to show on a large scale the most humane part of us all.
3. Communication. 
What can be more important than sharing your daily life routine on Instagram... NOTHING! (just kidding) I don't think there is a need for me to add anything more. It's crystal clear that communication is really important for forming personal relationships, and for simply not losing your mind from loneliness.
4. It gives everyone an opportunity to have a social life. 
It may sound pathetic, but for many people Technology has allowed them to have a virtual life, if not a real one. Online you can be anyone you wish to be. I like to think that people are honest when they are online, because this is the place where you can be your true self, as weird and as geeky as you are. And most of the times, the online community will appreciate you for showing you inner beauty, the part of you, you are mostly hiding from this cruel, discriminating and narrow-minded society. 
5. It keeps you alive. 
The human race has grown dependant on technology to such an extant that suddenly  taking it away would result in our extinction. Some would say that I underestimate the human race, but no one can deny that we've grown too weak due to this dependency.
