We recently received this Book Each Peach Pear Plum from penguin round house and as soon as I opened it I was taken back to sitting on my nan’s lap and I remember it so clear her reading this book to me in our kitchen. A memory I had forgotten and I was over the moon seeing it.

The book itself is a hardback with 32 pages and its £12.99. The illustrations are exactly of those I saw as a child. Each page contains a little sentence encouraging Children to find the next character in the poem. With beautiful drawings to go along with them and hiding characters within them.

For many this would have been a main book they were read as children, i know for me it was anyway and i couldn’t wait to read it to my children. When we opened it i was surprised by the beautiful limited edition print inside that is separate from the book itself , kept in mint condition by a plastic sleeve. I’m planning on getting a frame to put it up in the kids bedroom. 

The story and poem really captured my children’s imagination and we read it about 4 times and each time we picked out different things in the pictures we hadn’t seen the first times. They really enjoyed it and to be honest i did too! The whole time i was thinking wow i was sat listening to my late nan just like my own babies are listening to me. It actually choked me up. So thank you Puffin for bringing out this anniversary edition because i had forgotten all about this book and now my children have a little connection to my childhood to.

I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful book, Its a great edition and classic to any bookshelf wether your little ones are young or you’d love them to experience abit of your childhood memories!
